Aaron obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2018 and received the Law Society of Saskatchewan Gold Medal for graduating with the highest cumulative average. He was awarded numerous other academic prizes and scholarships, including The Honourable Donald Alexander McNiven Prize in Law which is presented to the student who possesses the highest proficiency as a legal scholar as demonstrated by skills in advocacy, legal writing and research. In 2016, Aaron graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Aaron received the University Prize in Business Administration, which is awarded to the most distinguished fall graduate achieving a first degree.
While completing his university education, Aaron participated in advocacy competitions including the Sopinka Cup, the Gale Cup Moot and the Canadian National Negotiation Competition. Aaron was also on the Board of Editors for the Saskatchewan Law Review and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada. Additionally, Aaron continued his long history of involvement with debate and choral music.
Aaron is currently clerking for Chief Justice Richards and Justices Ottenbreit and Barrington-Foote at the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan. In addition to his clerkship, Aaron has worked in-house, as a research assistant, in private practice and in the public sector. Through these diverse experiences Aaron has developed a deep passion for the law and is committed to immersing himself in the legal profession. After completing his studies at the University of Cambridge, Aaron plans to return to his home Province of Saskatchewan to practice law.
